Many companies implement their management systems due to imposition of its customers. The effort and sacrifices used to achieve long-sought ISO 9001 certification are crowned when the auditor's certification announcement: "The company is recommended to receive ISO 9001 certification." The "day after" certification is marked by an extreme 'lull ". But with the passage of time middle managers feel another problem: it is not only satisfy, but to maintain certification. A normal attitude in these cases is look at the calendar and say "Phew! Thankfully, the next audit is far ... "
After months it starts again the pressure to follow-up visit made by the certifier ... let's all right for everything to go right and we have no "surprise". Anyone who has experienced this knows exactly what the terms to which I refer are those same, and who never experienced you may be wondering if the certification process is so complicated. What many companies do not realize is that the certification process are not the days or hours that the auditor's certification is within the facility verifying compliance, but that certification is a commitment to change attitudes, a new way of looking at "quality" within the organization, moving from a passive state to an active state, ie in the "passive" product quality is just the end result that the process produced, in the active state the result is expected by the process or planned before making the product. Everything seems so obvious, but actually does not happen that way, usually the focus of the company ends up being diverted from principal to delete the "fires" every day. The big problem is that the daily fires will turn into weeks, the weekly and then monthly in a bonfire that we can delete any firefighter.
What then is the ultimate solution to become certified in painful pleasure? Since it is inevitable to have a certification, how to save money this certification?
The answer is not so simple, but here are some tips:
a. Create Objectives & Goals to be pursued, to disclose them and cover their employees the achievement of goals. Make regular meetings so that employees feel the importance of these goals;
b. Focus as much as possible of your goals in monetary values or image, so you will know how to lose are not met;
c. In establishing the goals, approach the company as a whole and not only visualize the area of "Quality Management" or "Quality Control";
d. Eliminate internal barriers and paradigms, so-called "filters" internal, create a communication channel in which the employee has contact with Senior Managers;
e. Be grateful. Always use the following words to his staff: "Thank you", "Good job," "Keep it up." Create a climate of verbal rewards for good work and especially by good examples.
f. Motive. Give reasons for your employees there and "re-act" in an exemplary manner;
g. Make your quality management system accessible to all employees and preferably in real time via the intranet and / or Internet, so that everyone has access to the indicators and have time to react when targets are not being met;
h. Simplify the most of the documentation of Quality System, making it as much as possible;
i. Apply one or more documented methods of solving problems. (Pareto, Ishikawa, 5W2H, etc.);
j. Create a culture of continuous improvement and focus on preventive actions, do your thinking in middle managers predict rather than cure.
A quality system appropriate for a business is one in which the mandatory requirements required for obtaining and maintaining ISO 9001 certification is part of a process profitability and gaining more and more satisfied customers.

Success to all!

You need to learn how to drive traffic to your website if you want to survive. You can't however just concentrate on getting visitors to your site. You need to make sure that you keep visitors on your website too.
All internet users are impatient. There is a wealth of information available on millions of different sites on the internet. You need to give people a reason to stay on your site.
Although it is no one's favorite task, we all wind up making copies at some point. Here are 5 tips to make it a little easier for you and your colleagues:

1. Only make work related copies. Sure it's inconvenient sometimes when there's "just that one thing" that you need to copy, but nothing looks more unprofessional than holding up the copy line for little league flyers.

2. Try to keep high volume copying to low volume times. If you know you need to make 500 double sided copies of something, try not to do it when several other people need to make just 5 copies. If it is absolutely necessary, at least be sure to give others in line a heads up.

3. Clear. When you're done, make sure to clear or reset copier settings back to their defaults. That way no one mistakenly creates 500 collated, double-sided brochures when all they intended was a single copy.

4. Leave the copy room nicer than you came. If you notice paper is getting low, restock it. If someone else has left originals or copies, neatly stack them nearby. After all, you'd want someone to do the same for you.

5. The most important of all, if the copier jams, unjam it or find someone who can! No one hates it more when the photocopier is stuck when they get there. Worse yet, if it gets around that you're the culprit, you're sure to have some bad karma coming your way.

According to the 2009 Frost & Sullivan CEO survey released this month, the top three leadership objectives that CEOs value in the coming year are vision, strategy and innovation. Executive coach Per Winblad thinks that one of the guiding principles of our history - wisdom - will be the driving force for the development towards our future.

"Wisdom is the engine," said Winblad, author of The Wisdom of Leadership: Timeless Principles for Greater Purpose, Prosperity and Peace of Mind, from Lighthouse Hill Press (www.perwinblad.com).
"Without wisdom, every other part of the leadership equation risk to go awry. Many leaders think that wisdom is an esoteric, subjective quality that either you have or you don't, but wisdom CAN be learned, if you know the path. We have all the potential to become wiser, but it will take time, reflection, honesty and the willingness to constantly learn and grow."

Winblad offered CEOs five tips to get them on the path in 2010:

Make a choice - Becoming a wise and inspiring leader starts with a decision to make a difference and to lead a life that really matters. This choice gives us the courage to dare to strive for something higher and better, to live for a cause, a purpose, a vision and to be determined to carry it through.

Make your core values clear and align your life with them - One of Sweden's great philosophers, Alf Ahlberg said, "Our world is full of knowledge but lacks wisdom." Wisdom is not the same as knowledge, experience, or intelligence. Rather, wisdom is how we use those qualities in an ethical and morally sound way. It's a deep insight of what is true, right, and lasting, something that every human being has to value during a lifetime. Wisdom enables us to take our knowledge, experience, and intelligence and use it to make sound choices and good decisions.

Create a balance - The next key is to create a balance in life between work, family, friends, and personal interests - regularly sharpening the blade of the ax. Chasing worldly fame and fortune is in demand in the world we live in. Nevertheless, they are, as King Solomon, considered by many to be the wisest leader ever, could have expressed it, good servants but poor masters. When we pursue worldly success as objectives for our lives and leadership, we will never get enough. Solomon expresses it like this: "He who loves money shall never have enough. The foolishness of thinking that wealth brings happiness! The more you have, the more you spend."

Listen and learn - If you want to be a wiser leader, develop your willingness to listen and learn. Wise leaders learn from what other says to them. They are keen to find out what other people have to say. They ask many questions. There are two very good reasons for listening to other people. We are learning ourselves this way, and people open up to us if we listen to them. When we listen, we are showing respect for our co-workers and fellow man.

Take time for solitude - Regularly take time to be alone with yourself for receptive silence and reflection. Set aside time for personal reflection and some deeper thinking. Look back on how you have been living and leading. Look forward to what kind of leader you want to become. This will help you to see the bigger and longer perspective of your life and leadership.

"Wisdom comprises the foundation for your leadership," Winblad added. "It helps to crystallize the other qualities of vision, strategic thinking and innovation so that you can do more than visualize success - you can achieve, sustain, and enjoy success.
